Dr Ross McMahon regularly consults in general cardiology with a clinical interest in peri-operative risk reduction, sports cardiology and preventive cardiology.

Dr Ross McMahon is a cardiologist based at Nepean Cardiology. He studied medicine at Queen's University, Belfast in Northern Ireland. He achieved a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Obstetrics in 1998. Dr McMahon achieved Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2001.

 

Ross completed his United Kingdom CCST Specialist Training in Cardiology in 2010. He undertook an advanced fellowship programme in Interventional Cardiology in Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney which he completed in 2010. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. Between 2010 to 2019, Dr McMahon held the position of a Visiting Medical Officer in Cardiology in Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital in NSW.

 

Ross has expertise in Arterial Stiffness. He has published his work in reputed journals and has presented at national and international conferences. He regularly consults in general cardiology with a clinical interest in peri-operative risk reduction, sports cardiology and preventive cardiology.

 

Dr McMahon is available to see patients in the Nepean Cardiology clinics in Mornington, Rosebud, Hastings, Wonthaggi and Frankston.
