The 100,000th Admission to Peninsula Private Hospital

Mr. Maxwell Weeks was the 100,000th patient to be admitted to Peninsula Private Hospital. He was admitted under the care of Mr Nigel Broughton, Orthopaedic Surgeon for care related to a joint replacement. Peninsula Private has been operational in its present location since August 1999. During that 5 ½ year period there have been 1,293 joint replacements performed at the hospital.
Specialists at Peninsula Private have performed 873 tonsillectomies, 1,569 colonoscopies, 1,489 hernia repairs, removed 327 thyroids, assisted with 3,246 births, and cared for 894 diabetic patients during the same 5 ½ year period.
Peninsula Private is a 140 bed hospital located at the corner of Cranbourne Road and McClelland Drive, providing a wide range of medical, surgical and obstetric services to the residents of the Mornington Peninsula, greater Frankston, and Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs. In addition to an extensive Orthopaedic practice, all major specialties, including Breast Surgery, Cardiology, Gynaecology, Oncology, and Urology, are catered for.
